Rotary Raises Fundraising Event

The Rotary Raises Basket Raffle event is a new take on the Presque Isle Rotary Club’s annual fundraising event. Community businesses and organizations will be asked to donate raffle baskets, each one designed to reflect a different theme. Rotarians will be at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds during the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest on Friday and Saturday, August 22 & 23. Stop by to see us, purchase some tickets, and drop them in the bucket of the items you are hoping to win. Winning names will be drawn on Saturday evening.
The raffle is a chance to win these delightful prizes while contributing to the community projects being supported by this year’s proceeds.
While it was a tough decision, the final choice for our proceed partners is: PI Parks & Recreation for the Peace Park Revitalization Project, Zippel Elementary School for their Outdoor Learning Classroom Project, and ACAP for their Backpack Program. Each Proceed Partner will receive a portion of our funds raised, with the goal of raising up to $3,000 for each project.
We need our community and business support!
We are now soliciting baskets from our local partners that will be featured and raffled off during our event. Please consider donating a “basket” of items around a theme of your choice. Perhaps you want to theme it around the kind of service your business offers, or maybe you’d prefer to do something else entirely. We can help you with that! We have several suggestions that might appeal to you. Here are a few ideas for themes: Backyard Fun, Camping, Travel, Game Night, Grilling, Sports, Tools, Animal lovers, Fishing just to name a few.
We ask that baskets have a minimum value of about $200. Your company’s name will be displayed with your basket and included in some of our promotional materials. If you aren’t able to do a basket on your own, please consider donating something we can combine with other donations to form a community basket or we can use in our fall online auction.
